today's a rainy day, which makes me happy :) i looove cloudy/rainy days, i think they're very beautiful. also my eyes are very sensitive to the sun, lol. in other news, i had a nice dream where i was in a liminal mall. haven't dreamed about that in a few or so months.

i finally started reading lore olympus after putting it off for so long and omg i'm hooked. i can't believe i took this long to finally read it....but yeah, the story is great and the art is beautiful!

in addition to hanging out with an online friend this morning, i also got to spend the evening hanging out with an irl friend! it rained a lot too, which was nice. we mainly hung out at my place and watched stuff together. it was cozy and fun. today was a great day, which again was very well needed.

i feel good today :) it's my day off and i spent my morning in vc with one of my closest friends and watched them play some identity v (a game i haven't played in at least 2 years...maybe i should re-download it). it was fun! i also had a nice refreshing walk in nice summer weather this morning as well. oh oh oh and i just got home from picking up some sushi that was on sale at the store! so yeah, really good day so far. i really needed this after being in such a mental funk for roughly a week. i hope the rest of the day (and week for that matter) stays this nice ♥

my mental health hasn't been the best the past few days. i'm not sure why. i'm trying my best to, like, improve it and be happier but man has it been hard. i sure hope this funk goes away asap.

i'm gonna be so honest here, i would've dropped/uninstalled honkai star rail AGES ago if it wasn't for aventurine. literally the reason i'm even playing it right now is to save up for his SP. who knows if i'll touch the game again once his sp banner is over whenever that drops. the last time i enjoyed this game was during penacony. amphoreous is boring and planarcadia has too much sparkle and skott for me to enjoy LOL

i haven't drawn anything in months @_@ i really wanna draw but i just don't, if that makes any sense. idk i haven't been motivated to draw...doesn't help that i have zero confidence in my art skills...in other news, i just ordered a nice laptop, which is pretty exciting! it should hopefully run better than my old potato PC. it'll be fun playing games and coding in bed LOL

i'm still experiencing that new job anxiety. it's a very nice job and i like it so far, but i guess the fact that it's so different from my last job is what's triggering all this anxiety. my old job was slow and boring, while this one is fast and busy. maybe i just need to get adjusted to this type of job again after working slow and boring for over two years. man i can't believe i worked that job for that long.

my new job has been going well so far! just experiencing the usual new job anxiety. i often worry that i'm doing a bad job, despite being, you know, new at the job and mistakes are bound to happen. even though i've been told i'm doing great so far, so idk what i'm anxious about. whatever man (vaporizes my lame brain)

just finished my first day of my new job! it was all training but everything went well. a lot of information to take in, but i'm sure i'll remember it. it's such a lovely place to work, not to mention the people there are cool. there were even some openly queer people there, which has to be the polar opposite of my last job. i'm so happy they hired me!

I DID IT I SURVIVED THE FINAL DAY OF THIS JOB!!! overall a pretty bad place to work. very stressful and half the people there sucked. but there were SOME people there that were pretty cool, and i'll at least miss them. i'll probably stop by from time to time just to see those few cool people at that place. tomorrow is my first official day of my new job, which i'm both excited and also nervous about!

i've been really into guild wars 2 the past few months (and am hyped for the guild wars 3 beta next year), which i find ironic given my lore. back in 2012 i was a huge fan of the mmo TERA, which came out at around the same time as gw2. as a result, those two mmos had a bit of a rivalry with each other. i stayed faithful to TERA until the end of its lifespan (rip TERA you were a huge part of my life) and never played gw2. until this year, that is. and honestly? i wish i'd got into it sooner. it's a very fun game and some aspects of it even remind me of TERA a bit. so yeah, time for my gw2 era to finally arrive over a decade after its launch!

looks like i'm gonna spend my final week at this job working seven whole days in a row! lovely. after those seven days is my first day of training at my new job, so i'm actually working EIGHT days in a row! well at least i'll be making good money, i guess...

transitioning between jobs is always a bit stressful for me @_@ leaving jobs is also stressful, because of co-workers expressing their sadness that i'm leaving and it always makes me feel guilty for, well, leaving. but i know i'm gonna be a lot happier at this new job, plus it pays better (which is definitely needed in this awful economy). i'm gonna be completely honest and say that i wasn't a very big fan of this job. the main positive it had it that some of the co-workers are awesome, and sometimes i'd get free coffee.

went to the beach yesterday for the first time in what felt like AGES. it was a well needed mini-vacation. it's my dream to live near a beach/ocean and hopefully i can achieve that dream someday.

have i ever mentioned how much i hate driving? especially in my area where there's ALWAYS traffic. and traffic is the bane of my existence. if i had the option to never drive again, i would gladly take it. but for now, i have to deal with driving to and from work while dealing with this insane traffic. hopefully getting a new job in a different area will help with that a little bit. good thing i plan on moving out of this area once my lease ends. it's a nice area, but there's WAY too many people here. i wanna live somewhere a little less...crowded. also cheaper.

i really miss the times when i'd frequently visit new york city. i miss traveling in general but i've also developed agoraphobia in recent years. the good news is that i've been slowly getting over said agoraphobia, but still have a ways to go. i wanna visit nyc again, but i need someone to come with me since i'm not sure what i'd even do if i went by myself. plus i get lonely easily LOL

just finished re-reading Black Cat, and it was just as amazing as i remember it being! my two favorite characters have gotta be Shiki and Kyoko, though there aren't really any hateable characters in this series imo. anyways, you should read Black Cat~ (i still need to watch the anime adaptation. might do that soon now that i'm done re-reading the manga!)

gonna also re-read to-love-ru since that's by the same mangaka and i love his artstyle. i think i've read every manga by kentaro yabuki now that i think about it.

been doing a lot of manga-reading but not enough anime-watching. i think i should finish watching cinderella grey, then finally watch black cat. yeah that sounds like a good plan!

i'm trying to get back into genshin and i'm realizing that exploring in this game isn't as fun as it used to be...or maybe sumeru just isn't fun to explore. maybe i should try exploring another area or focus on quests. or focus on leveling/building characters. literally anything but exploring the desert.
