this isn't my first rodeo when it comes to selfshipping. my very first selfship was back when i was middle school, with the character lloyd irving from tales of symphonia. my second one was with lyude from baten kaitos. and the list goes on! i'll have to write down every last one and share them with y'all on this page someday. but yeah, i've been a selfshipper for at least 15 years now, and have enjoyed every moment of it! it brings me such great comfort and joy.
i've been playing honkai: star rail since launch (due to being a huge honkai 3rd fan), and always enjoyed it! despite that, there really wasn't a character that really stuck with me, you know? that is until penacony came out and i met aventurine. i wouldn't say it was love at first sight, but i did always find him to be rather attractive and liked his character. as time went on and i began to like aventurine more and more until it turned into full-blown brainrot, pretty much. that's when the selfship seed started to grow.
what haven't i said that i already haven't said about this man in my two shrines i've made about him? he's so handsome and charming, and has an interesting character and backstory. so much about him attracts me to him. i think about him pretty much all the time and he makes me so happy! my sweet honeybee~

judas is the name of my self-insert. he's a halovian that works at a bookshop in the shopping district of pier point. his path is rememberence and his element is quantum.
judas is shy and a bit on the timid side, but that side of him will completely go away if you talk to him about any of his interests, which mainly consists of reading/books, painting (or art in general) and food! he especially loves pasties.
aventurine met judas at his job at the bookshop one summer evening. judas was immediately smitten by him, while aventurine found judas to be an interesting character. as a result, aventurine would regularly visit the bookshop to visit and tease judas. this trend carried on for months until aventurine finally asked judas out on a casual coffee date.
"come on, one kiss on the cheek wouldn't hurt, right?" asked aventurine as he gently tapped his right cheek.
judas stood there, face beet red as he bashfully looks away from aventurine. the blond gently takes judas by the chin and makes him face aventurine again.
"one kiss and i'll leave you be." aventurine said as his face inched closer to judas'.
"okay, juse one kiss. on the cheek."
aventurine turned his head, his right cheek facing the halovian. judas took a deep breath before puckering his lips and inching closer to aventurine's cheek. at the last second, aventurine turned his head and kissed judas on the lips. judas could feel his heart racing and face heating up as his brain processed what just happened. aventurine's lips were so warm. a few slow seconds of kissing later and judas finally pulls back. it was unexpected, but he certainly didn't hate it.
aventurine chuckled. "i'm sorry, i couldn't help myself~"
