Born as Kakavasha on the planet of Sigonia-IV, the planet environment was extremely harsh and isolated from the rest of the galaxy; the people in the planet were in tribes. One of the most notable tribes were called the Katicans and their rival the Avgins, the latter in which Kakavasha was from, and they worshipped a god called Gaiathra Triclops and even have a special day for their god called "Kakava", which is the day that marked her rebirth.
As a baby, Kakavasha's mother would pray to their god to bless her child with the power of luck. He tries to use this 'gift' to take back his sister's necklace from the Katicans after his mother passed away. His father had most likely already passed away before his birth. Kakavasha's sister was the only family he had for a while. Kakavasha is believed to be the sole survivor of the Katica-Avgin Extinction Event, which took the lives of 6,728 Avgins and over 3,000 missing. As he got older, he had to fend for himself while depending on his unbelievable luck, especially after he was purchased and imprisoned by the "Indifferent Male" who branded and enslaved/trafficked him.
The Sigonians were victims of racism, which includes rumors of them being liars, thieves and murders but in reality, the Sigonians were actually beautiful people with attractive facial features along with beautiful eyes and high intelligence, but these talents were the reasons why the Sigonians attracted jealousy by others and caused them to be discriminated against. Until one day, strange figures who came from the malicious and devious Interstral Peace Corporation claimed they wanted to help the Sigonians. In reality, they wished to conquer their planet and enslave them for their own interests, viewing the Sigonians as savages with hope of enlightenment.
Kakavasha was freed from slavery when the IPC apprehended him for killing his master. To avoid a trial and further imprisonment or execution, Aventurine makes a bet with Jade, promising that he will bring wealth and success to the IPC if the organization takes him in — and the rest is history. Just like how he survived the Extinction Event, he believes that he got the IPC position because of fate and luck. But despite becoming a respectable IPC worker, some are still wary around Kakavasha, now known as Aventurine, because of his Sigonian features, as well as the slave brand on his neck.
